Xbox is also product of Microsoft, which is an gaming platform and console. Besides that, Windows, Bing, Office & Surface Series are also famous products of Microsoft. This company is strictly trying to increase their product selling and that's why they usually announce new products and collaborate with companies.

Issue Of Activision
The California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) said that Activision is promoting sexual harassments and many other departments also claiming that and that's why Activision is in loss.
How Much Microsoft Is Paying
Because of Activision issue, Microsoft got chance to buy Activision and they offer a deal of $68.7 billlion to merge X-Box with Activision Blizzard. And its actually a great deal to Activision but they want to acquire it.
Did Microsoft Buy Activision?
Answer is: No
Activision get time of 18 months to response on their deal but now it's actually not sure that they accept the deal or not, because Activision is hardly trying to get his market back. And if they do, they won't accept this deal otherwise they will.
But it's actually not something which we should take care about because Microsoft will also market the game just like Activision but maybe they add some really great services on it.
